Edit access to the dashboard
  • You need: Edit access to the dashboard

Steps

1
In Edit layout, press Add widget, choose Ratio and press Continue.
2
Set up the Numerator: the unit, measure, field, Date field and Numerator filters.
3
Set up the Denominator the same way, from the same unit or from another one.
4
Choose Compare to and Decimal places (0, 1 or 2; 1 by default), press Continue, then press Add widget.

How it works

Value = numerator ÷ denominator × 100. A zero or empty denominator gives “—“. An empty numerator with Count or Sum gives 0%.

The comparison (previous period or last year) shows the difference in percentage points: from 20% to 25% = +5 points.

The numerator and denominator also show under the ratio.

If you’re blocked from the unit of either side, the whole widget is locked, because the ratio would reveal the hidden side.

The dashboard’s stage filter only applies if the stage field is in the units of both sides.

You can’t divide two amounts in different currencies, or an amount by a number that isn’t money.

The Ratio widget doesn’t support viewing details by clicking. The Close rate and Lead → Customer conversion templates build it for you.

The situation

How many quotes turn into contracts?

What they did
  1. Numerator: count of quotes with the filter “Status = Approved”.
  2. Denominator: count of all quotes. Comparison: previous period.
The result

The ratio is 34% (+6 points), after they improved the quote template.

A made-up company, to show the idea. The numbers are rounded.
