Install a template and connect it to your units and fields Choose a template, connect each of its slots to a unit or field in your workspace, and set the name, folder and sharing. The whole dashboard is built in one step, or nothing is.

The “Create dashboards” permission
You need: The “Create dashboards” permissionSteps 1 Open Dashboards and press Create dashboard , or Use template under Start from a template . Choose the template and press Continue .
2 Under Connect template data , choose a unit or field for each slot.
A field slot only accepts certain types. For example, “Stage field” accepts a select field, and “Amount field” accepts a currency or number field.
3 Type the Dashboard name , and choose the description, icon, color and folder.
4 Leave an optional slot empty if you don’t need its widgets.
Its widgets are skipped instead of stopping the install. Required slots are marked with an asterisk.
5 Press Continue , choose Private or Workspace , then press Create dashboard .
A summary shows how many widgets were added, and any that were skipped and why. Press
Open dashboard .
How it works You must be able to view every unit you connect. A field must belong to the unit connected to its slot.
The template’s default filters and stage field are connected too, so the dashboard arrives with a ready filter bar.
The funnel takes every active option of the connected stage field, in their saved order, and doesn’t ask you for the stages.

Installing happens all at once: if the folder is refused or any step fails, nothing is created.
Tip: In the Lead conversion template, don’t connect the same field to both stage and source, or its table becomes invalid.

You can’t edit folders.
