Request access to a locked unit

Ask to see a unit whose widget shows as locked. The request reaches the workspace owner and admins in the notifications bell. To open a dashboard you can’t see, ask its owner to share it with you.

3 min

Steps

1
On a widget that says “No access to …”, press Request access.
2
The message Request sent always shows.

How it works

The request goes to the workspace owner and admins, and opens the roles page for them. It shows in the “System” tab of the notifications bell, in each recipient’s language.

The Request sent message always shows, even if the request wasn’t sent because you passed the daily limit or already sent it today. This is on purpose.

The recipient gives you access from Create a role and set its permissions.

A dashboard you can’t open

There’s no request button for a whole dashboard. If a dashboard shows “This dashboard isn’t available”, ask its owner to share it with you. See Share a dashboard with a person, team, role or everyone.
