Steps

Press Add a step and choose Add a note.

Under Note, write the text, with record details.

Optional: under Mention, choose who to mention.
How it works
The comment shows as a comment from the system, not from a person, so no one is credited with words they didn’t write.
The mention arrives like any other mention inside the app. See Comment and mention teammates inside a record.
A member who has left doesn’t stop the run; they’re only mentioned in the details.
The comment isn’t repeated, even if the step is retried.
A real example
Shield Security Co.
The situation
When a deal stalls, the reason doesn’t show on the record.
What they did
- A field stays the same for a while: the stage stays the same for 7 days.
- Add a note: “Stayed in the same stage for 7 days”, mentioning the sales manager.
The result
Everyone sees on the record when the deal stalled.
A made-up company, to show the idea. The numbers are rounded.
