Start an automation when an email arrives
The trigger An email arrives runs when someone writes to one of your connected mailboxes. You can limit it to a mailbox, a sender, or words in the subject.
Before you start · 1 thing · for owners and managersA connected mailbox
- You need: Permission to edit workflows
- A connected mailbox: Email in Corteksa: connect a mailbox and follow client email.
Steps
What doesn’t trigger it
Old email on the first connection, email older than the mailbox connection, email you sent, drafts, spam, deleted email, automatic replies, out-of-office messages, and newsletters.
Each email triggers the automation only once.
The linked record
The automation runs on the first record Corteksa linked to the sender. An unknown sender runs without a record.
An action that reads or writes the record needs mailboxes linked to the unit, so each email is linked to a record.
Conditions and variables
Conditions on the sender’s email and name, the subject, the body, the mailbox, and the message language. Variables: {{email.subject}}, {{email.from}}, {{email.from_name}}, {{email.body}}, {{email.to}}, {{email.mailbox}} and {{email.received_at}}.
