Switch between your workspaces

A workspace is your company inside Corteksa: its data, its team and its subscription. You can belong to several workspaces with one account, and you choose which one to open when you sign in.

4 min

Steps

1
Sign in to Corteksa with your email and password, or with Google or Apple.
If you belong to more than one workspace, Choose a workspace shows the list.
2
Choose the workspace you want to open.
3
To open another workspace later, sign in again and choose it from Choose a workspace.

A link from another workspace

If you open a link to a record that’s in another workspace, “This record is in another workspace” shows. Choose Switch workspace to open the record there.

What belongs to the workspace and what belongs to you

The owner

Each workspace has one owner. The owner goes past the permissions matrix, and billing is in their name. To change the owner, see Transfer workspace ownership to another member.

The Enterprise plan

You can’t set up an Enterprise workspace on your own. The Corteksa team sets it up, with a separate database and its own subdomain.

If something goes wrong

What to do
Choose a workspace doesn’t show
You belong to one workspace only.
Nothing: it opens straight away.
The workspace you want isn’t in the list
You aren’t a member of it.
Ask its admin to invite you. See Invite a teammate to your workspace by email.

A real example

Shield Security Co.
The situation

A supervisor works for both the maintenance company and its sister supply company, and each company has its own workspace.

What they did
  1. Both companies invited her with the same email.
  2. When she signs in, she picks the company she needs from Choose a workspace.
The result

She moves between the two companies with one account, and each team sees only its own company’s data.

A made-up company, to show the idea. The numbers are rounded.

Good to know

Signing up creates your first workspace. You can’t create another workspace or rename one from inside the app.
Only the Corteksa team sets up the Enterprise plan.
There’s no button to leave a workspace on your own. Ask its admin to deactivate your account in it.
Each workspace has its own trial and its own separate subscription.
