Field types: the full list and when to use each
Corteksa has 35 field types. You add some of them yourself, and the system adds others when you connect channels and ads. Choose the type carefully, because it can’t change after the field is created.

How to choose
- A number you’ll add up or compare? Number or Currency, not Text.
- A fixed list? Select instead of free text, so filters and reports work.
- A number you contact on WhatsApp? WhatsApp number instead of Phone.
- A value that already exists in another unit? Lookup instead of copying it.
- Need a Hijri date? Any date field with the Hijri display.
A field’s type can’t change after it’s created. If you chose the wrong type, create a new field and move the values over with export and import.
