The Hijri column in an export is ignored when you import the file again, so it doesn’t spoil your data.
The calendar preference in your profile is about how dates show for you, while the field setting applies to the field for everyone.
For yearly Hijri numbering, choose the Hijri year format in the serial number.

What to do
The Hijri date doesn’t show for a very old date
It’s outside the Umm al-Qura range.
That’s expected: the Gregorian date shows on its own.
Good to know
The supported range is about 1937 to 2077 Gregorian (1356 to 1500 Hijri). Outside it, the Hijri date doesn’t show.
You still enter dates in the Gregorian calendar.
Due date reminders and message variables stay in Gregorian.
