Set the most clients an employee gets per hour and per day

Turn on capacity for the employee and set an hourly limit and a daily limit. When they reach either one, they’re skipped until the period ends.

Lead distribution is a paid Add-on. If you can’t find it in your account, contact support to turn it on.

  • You need: Edit members

Steps

1
Open Settings → Members, and choose Edit user for the employee.
2
Under Capacity Limits, tick Enable.
3
Enter the most per hour in Max / hour and the most per day in Max / day. 0 means no limit.
4
Press Update.

How the period is counted

The hour starts from the first client the employee gets and lasts 60 minutes, then the count starts again. The day starts from the first client and lasts 24 hours. It isn’t the clock hour or midnight.

Example: a limit of 5 per hour, and the first client arrives at 10:20. If the fifth arrives at 10:45, they’re skipped until 11:20.

What counts

Every assignment by automatic, manual or bulk distribution, or by the automation action. An assignment by the fallback doesn’t count. A regular manual assignment from the assignee field doesn’t count.

There’s one count per employee across all rules and scenarios.

A real example

The situation

A new employee can’t follow up with more than 15 clients a day.

What they did
  1. A daily limit of 15 and an hourly limit of 4.
The result

They get clients at a pace that suits them, and the extra ones go to the others on their own.

A made-up company, to show the idea. The numbers are rounded.

Good to know

0 = no limit.
The hour is 60 minutes from the first client, and the day is 24 hours from the first client.
