Search for a chat or a message
Search the whole inbox by name, number or the text of any message, or search inside one chat and jump straight to the message.
Steps
+. The system ignores spaces, brackets and dashes.Searching the inbox
It searches: the chat name, the name of the linked record, the text of every message and media caption, and the phone number when the search term is digits.
It ignores differences in Arabic spelling: أ, إ and آ count as ا, ى counts as ي, ة counts as ه, ؤ counts as و, and ئ counts as ي. It also ignores diacritics and letter stretching, and turns Arabic digits ٠١٢ into 012. So “احمد” finds “أحمد”, and “فاطمه” finds “فاطمة”.
The search is “contains”: the word “سعد” (Saad) finds “أسعد” (Asaad) and “سعدية” (Saadia).
Searching inside a chat
It searches the message text, media captions and file names. This search doesn’t treat the hamza forms as the same, so try both spellings if you don’t find what you want.
If something goes wrong
A real example
A client says “I sent you a photo of the contract last month” and doesn’t mention their number.
- The supervisor searched the inbox for “contract”.
- The client’s chat showed with the matching message.
- He searched inside the chat for the file name and jumped to it.
He found the photo within a minute, without long scrolling.
