Export a unit’s records to CSV or Excel
Export all the records you can see in a unit to CSV or XLSX, and choose the columns. Large files are prepared in the background, and you get a notification.
Before you start · for everyoneThe view permission on the unit
- You need: The view permission on the unit
Steps
What the file includes
The fields in their order, with an extra Hijri column for fields that use the Hijri calendar, then the assignee, then single relations as record names, then the created and updated dates. Lookup fields are included; multiple relations aren’t.
What the export covers
The export includes every record within your permissions in the unit, and doesn’t apply the filters of the open view. Someone who can’t see every record exports only their own records.
The file format
A CSV file downloads compressed, as .csv.gz. Unzip it, then open it in Excel. Arabic shows correctly, and dates show as the day you entered.
To export with a specific filter, ask the assistant.
If something goes wrong
A real example
The accountant needs the list of contracts every month.
- The manager exports the contracts unit as XLSX, with only the client, value and end date columns.
A file is ready for the accountant in a minute.
