Add a line items table with the subtotal, tax and total
Link a table to a smart catalog field in line items mode. It prints a row for each item, the columns you choose, then the subtotal, tax and total.

Product record columns accept: text, long text, number, currency, rating, yes/no, dates, choices, tags, status and priority, email, phone, WhatsApp, link and serial number. Relation, lookup, rollup, calculation, file, image, catalog and location print empty.
A column from the product record needs you to have the permission to read the products unit. Otherwise, it prints empty.
Total rows
They’re rounded to the field’s number of decimal places (2 by default), and print with thousands separators. Their labels are in the document’s language: “Subtotal, VAT, Total” or “المجموع الفرعي، الضريبة، الإجمالي”.
An empty list
Without a text for an empty list, the whole table disappears when there are no items. With the text, the header stays, with one line of text under it, such as “No items”, and no total rows.
Reversed order
Prints the items from newest to oldest. The total rows stay at the bottom, and the row number counts after reversing.
You can put 2 tables on the same catalog, each with its own columns and totals.
If something goes wrong
A real example
Quotes were calculated by hand in Excel, and the tax came out wrong.
- A “Quotes” unit with a smart catalog in line items mode, with 15% tax.
- A line items table with these columns: row number, product, the product code from the product record, quantity, total.
- Subtotal, tax and total rows, and the header repeated on every page.
A quote with 40 items on 3 pages, and the math matches the record.
