A field prints empty
The field is empty in the record, it’s from a linked unit you can’t read, or there’s no linked record.

A whole section didn’t print
The section’s rule: the field is empty, or has a value.
The line items table disappeared
The record has no line items.
Add a text for an empty list: Add a line items table with the subtotal, tax and total.
An amount has no currency
The currency doesn’t print, so it isn’t repeated.
Type it next to the field.
An image didn’t print
The field is empty, the file isn’t an image, it’s larger than 8 MB, or it’s an internal link.
A barcode didn’t show
The value doesn’t suit the type, or it’s empty.
A chart is empty
No line items or linked records, or no permission.
The page number doesn’t show
It’s in the body.
Put it in the header or the footer: Add a page header and footer (letterhead).
A pinned element moved to an extra page
The document came out shorter than the design.
“The PDF engine is busy”
Many prints at the same moment.
Wait a few seconds and try again.
“The PDF engine isn’t available” or “Printing timed out”
The engine didn’t start, or the page wasn’t finished within 30 seconds.
Try again. If it happens again, use fewer large images and contact support.
A general busy message after any action
A brief load on the system.
Try again. You haven’t been signed out.
“Record not found”
The record was deleted, or it’s outside what you can see.
“You can’t edit this record” when saving
No permission to edit the unit or the record.
“Expected a file” when saving
You chose an image field.
Choose a field of type file.
“Document saved. Status not changed”
The transition rules don’t allow it.
“A document with this name already exists”
The name is already used.
Choose another name.
“Someone else saved a newer version”
A teammate saved a newer version.
“The content is too large”
It’s more than 20 MB.
Make the embedded images smaller.
“The page setup isn’t valid”, with details
Margins, a header or a background are outside the limits.

“Styles aren’t valid”
A font isn’t supported, or a value is outside the limits.
Formatting was removed after saving
The formatting isn’t allowed, or there’s an internal image link.
Use the editor’s tools.
The automation step failed or was skipped
The template was deleted, it’s for a different unit, a required field is empty, or the creator lost their permission.
An error importing a Word or PDF file
It’s protected, too large, has too many pages, or its text can’t be read.
“Your document was restored”
The AI stopped while writing.
