The two default roles: Admin and Viewer

Every workspace starts with two roles: Admin, with every permission, and Viewer, for reading and exporting only. Use them as they are, or create more precise roles.

How it works

Admin
Viewer
Units
Every action at Allowed
View and export Allowed, the rest Denied
Channels
Every action
Read Allowed only
Email
Every action
Read Allowed only
Feature switches
All of them, and any new switch added later
Viewing units, relations, layouts, dashboards, templates, automations, lead ads, distribution, message templates, members, teams and duplicate rules

Viewer doesn’t see roles and permissions, API keys or integration settings, so they can’t look at security settings.

A member invited from the wizard with no matching role gets Viewer.

If the name Admin or Viewer is already used in your workspace when they’re created, “(default)” is added to the name.

Good to know

The Admin role is the one given to the previous owner after transferring ownership.
You can edit the two default roles like any other role.
