Clients who stopped your marketing messages
If a client stops marketing messages from your business on WhatsApp, Corteksa records it on their chat and refuses Marketing templates to them before sending. Utility templates still reach them.
How it works
WhatsApp lets a client stop marketing messages from any business, or resume them. Corteksa receives this choice and saves it on the client’s chat with that number.
If the client resumes marketing messages, Marketing templates reach them again.
The choice is saved for existing chats only. For a client you’ve never talked to, there’s nothing to refuse yet, and Meta itself rejects the message if it’s sent.
Separately, WhatsApp may limit marketing messages to a specific client for a while, to protect its users’ experience. The message shows as failed, with the reason “WhatsApp is limiting marketing messages to this client right now”.
If something goes wrong
A real example
A client stopped marketing messages, but she’s enrolled in a course and needs attendance reminders.
- The weekly offers template was refused for her automatically.
- The “Lecture reminder” template, in the Utility category, kept reaching her.
The academy respected her wish, and she didn’t miss her reminders.
